Roots N Culture Mix 2012

SiamRootsical Roots N Culture Mix 2012. Finally putting this one out, I've been too busy gardening this summer. Reggae music again! Riddim like Life After Lifetime (Larger Than Life), King's Army (Dimmie Joe), Island Breeze (Madd Spider), Real Reggae (Payday), Hold U Medz (In the Streetz), Murderer (No Doubt/Madhouse), Beat Down Babylon (Jukeboxx), XTM Nation's hot remake of Wings With Me and Twilight Circus' superb Binghi riddim from 2008 featuring nyah drumming from Skully. Nuff version. Cultural deejay Keke-I bigs up all horticulturalists on Farmer Man while blazing fyah like Sizzla on the stunning Why Do We Fight. Barrington Levy & Gyptian team up for another great remake of Murderer (No Doubt). Buju Banton ripped up a storm on Pedal Pusher... gwaan Buju! While various members of the band continue to release solo projects, Morgan Heritage made a welcome comeback with The Return before beginning their European tour. Reggae music lives!

Featuring: Gramps Morgan, Jesse Royal, Lutan Fyah, Gappy Ranks, Capleton, Fantan Mojah, Wayne Marshall, Bounty Killer, Busy Signal, Ras Attitude, Norris Man, I-Wayne, Morgan Heritage, Anthony B, Delly Ranx, Bobby Hustle, Pressure, Turbulence, Keke-I, Ken Bob, Sugar Minott, Michael Rose, Skully, Kabaka Pyramid, Peetah Morgan, I-Octane, Konshens, Tarrus Riley, Sizzla, Dario, Wrath Riley, Buju Banton, Taranchyla, Wayne Wonder, Alborosie, Lady Ann, Barrington Levy, Gyptian, Beenie Man, Military Man and Guinney Pepper.

Chant Down Rome - 90s New Roots Mixtape

Chant Down Rome - New Roots Mixtape. More conscious selections 1994-99. Blazing fire over riddim like Death In The Arena, Burning Bush, Repatiation/Praise Ye Jah & Morgan Heritage's Buss Up Barriers. Praise Ye Jah was the tune that really blew me away when it hit London's pirate stations in '96, hot on the heels of the Heathen riddim. Sizzla's vocal delivery, together with the thundrous Xterminator b-side dub , signalled to me that the nu-roots revolution had come of age... fi real. Star Trail set Anthony B loose on the Burning Bush.

Featured here: Garnett Silk, Morgan Heritage, Capleton, Jah Cure, LMS, Buju Banton, Everton Blender, Cocoa Tea, Charlie Chaplin, Luciano, Bobby Dixon, Tony Rebel, Admiral Tibet, Spragga Benz, Bounty Killer, Jah Mali, Mikey Spice, Anthony B, Sizzla, Louie Culture, Iyashanti, Determine, Yami Bolo, The Firehouse Crew, Beres Hammond and Paul Elliott. Producers/labels include: Top Rank, Morgan Heritage Family, Star Trail, Xterminator, Phillip Smart, Digital B, Penthouse, X-Rated, Gemini & Lucky Love.
